BBVA Banco Continental shines on the Lima Stock Exchange Good Corporate Governance Index.

BBVA Banco Continental is, for the second year running, part of the Índice de Buen Gobierno Corporativo 2009 (Good Corporate Governance Index 2009, IBGC) of the Bolsa de Valores de Lima (Lima Stock Exchange, BVL) in which it has improved its score due to its good practices.
The IBGC is a statistical indicator that seeks to encourage companies listed on the Stock Exchange to improve their corporate governance practices. BBVA Banco Continental is the only bank in the Peruvian financial system that is part of the group of new companies that form it.
The Pacific Credit Rating agency has validated the Good Corporate Governance Index in which, apart from good corporate governance practices it acknowledges high liquidity and the capitalisation of BBVA Banco Continental shares.
The Bank's annual report includes a detailed explanation of the fulfilment of its good corporate governance practices in terms of the rights and fair treatment of shareholders, information and transparency and board responsibilities, among others.
